Day Ten – Homeward Bound
From Abilene, Texas to Katy, Texas (HOME!!!)
Summary:
What much can you say about today's ride other than, "There is no place like home."
After a good nights rest we hit the road for one last time before the trip comes to and end.
With all the roads pretty well known for us and seeing that I have clicked in over 100,000 Texas miles. Home is on the radar and there is no way to get lost. Not even in Texas.
The way I see it, if you need to get home and know that you are north of I-10, go south, find I-10. If you can smell the oil refineries, head west. If the air is dry, head east.
If you find Interstate-45 before you find Interstate-10, head south.
Either way, you will find home. But before we do, we have one more stop and that is in Marble Falls were we will stop to pick some vegetables out of our grandparents garden... along with some good cooking and a bunch of hugs.
From there.... Home.
