Day Six – America's Loneliest Highway & Great Basin National Park
From Yosemite National Park to Yuba State Park, Utah
Summary:
With a nice strong breakfast and one last beautiful ride through Yosemite, we say far well and head east on SH-120 into Nevada. From here we continue that eastward push to Benton, Nevada where we pick up SH-6 to SH-376 north.
America's Loneliest Highway
Great Basin National Park
After a hundred mile northward ride we pick up the second half of Americas Loneliest Highway (SH-50) and continue our eastward move into Utah.
Now if time permits,
we might take a quick drive through Great Basin National Park for a few
quick snaps of the camera and to grab something to drink (along with a
coffee cup as a souvenir) from the visitors
center... Then again, that all depends on how long it take us to
finish breakfast and get out of Yosemite.
Once in Utah we will continue our ride through the mountains and desert lands with a fast push in hopes of getting to camp before sun down.
With the next days ride being an eventful one, we will need a good nights rest for an early departure.
