Trip Summary First planned trip riding 2up for a twelve day road trip from Texas through New Mexico, Arizona, Nevada, California, Nevada, Utah, Colorado, New Mexico and back home. Estimated trip to be 5,300 miles.
Daily Points of Interest Day One: Texas, Texas, Texas and New Mexico. Other than the a bit of the Texas hill country, watching the Davis Mountains pass by in the distance, most of this day is Texas highway and some of New Mexico. Day Two: Petrified Forest National Park, Sunset Crater National Monument, Wupatki National Monument & Grand Canyon National Park. Day Three: Kiabab National Forest, Hoover Dam/Lake Mead, Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area & Death Valley National Park. Day Four: Dome Land Wilderness, Isabella Reservoir, Sequoia National Forest, Lake Kaweah & Sequoia National Park. Day Five: Sequoia National Park, General Sherman Tree, Sierra National Forest & Yosemite National Park. Day Six: Pacific Highway. Day Seven: Northern California & America's Loneliest Highway. Day Eight: America's Loneliest Highway, Great Basin National Park, Zion National Park, Dixie National Forest & Bryce Canyon National Park. Day Nine: Bryce Canyon National Park, Grand-Staircase-Escalante National Monument, Dixie National Forest, Capital Reef National Park & Glen Canyon National Recreation Area. Day Ten: Glen Canyon National Recreation Area, Natural Bridges National Monument, Canyons of Ancients National Monument, Mesa Verde National Park, San Juan National Forest & Carson National Forest. Day Eleven & Twelve: Texas Courthouses.
