This page shows the roughing of the oil lines from the junction block off the front of the motor and illustrates the path of each line.

From the three way
junction block: The line on the bottom (green) runs down the block to a flex line then up the firewall to the back of the oil pressure gauge. The left line (yellow) pushes oil into the oil filter canister to be cleaned. The top line (blue) supplies the head with oil.

Here is the green line or oil
presser gauge line with a self engineered flex line. With a quick visit to a local parts store I found out that they did not carry small, pre-fitted oil lines and break lines would not work. So with a walk around the store I decided to make my own with what I could pick up off the shelves. This included a plastic oil pressure line kit, one used to run oil pressure to back of a gauge. A hand full of fittings and a stainless steel braded line wrap kit. The kind of kit you would see some hot rod teenager pick up for his car to dress up his existing hoses. Once home I cut about six inches of plastic tubing and put on compression fittings on one end and then attached it to the stainless steel tubing that I was going to use for running down the block. From there I cut off enough braiding to cover the plastic line plus fittings and then put on the compression fittings for the other end. With the shrink wrap fittings that came with the kit, I finished out the braded ends over the fittings, trimmed the ends of the braids, slide the braids back off the fittings, applied some black adhesive and then slid the finished braids back over the fitting. All this because I knew the pressure from the shrink wrap alone would not hold the braiding in place. The end product turned out nice. |

Here is an over all picture of the oil pressure line coming down the side of the block, into the self engineered flex line then up the fire wall and into the cab.

Originally from the oil filter canister to the junction block, there was a rubber flex line that started right after the first 90 degree turn out of the canister. When putting everything back in, I did not see a reason why the rubber line needed to go back in so instead, I went with ridged tubing all the way to the junction block.
