Here is the new transmission cover pan after trimming to fit and painting the front and back.

Also in the picture on the left, all rolled up, is the transmission cover seal that was way too then to use and would have no affect on sealing this so called 'exact fit' cover.  So with some black rubber sheets at hand, I cut some 1 inch strips and made my own.

Here is the new seals glued in place and trimmed to fit.  What I used for glue was 3M Weather Stripping adhesive.  Worked great.

Again I am not very good at taking very many pictures when I am all in to working but here is the new floor pad.

On the padding, visible only from the back side, were perforated areas that needed to be cut out for the shifter, gas & starter peddle.

The instructions say use your existing as a pattern but with this padding, the perforated areas were an exact fit.

Now on to the upper windlace.

For the '48 GMC's, there was a different style of windlace.  A windlace where you can find replacement rubber but not the metal retainers.  So with my retainer being unusable, I went with metal retainers and seals for '49-52 or so year models.

In the picture is a tap where I am chasing out the existing threads and putting in a few new wholes where needed.
