Front leaf springs after sanding away the rust and bolted back together.  Now waiting on a dry day to blast away the remaining rust..

All the leaf springs set out ready for first coat of DuPont primer.

The work that goes into cleaning the leaf springs was one of those things you don't think much about until you are half way into it.

When looking at a set of springs before pulling them off the truck you think, "Those won't take long to clean up."  Then once you lay them all out, you realize how much surface area there is and how stubborn that rust can be.

After almost a week's time spent on the springs, they are now ready to be primed.

[All that work and very few people will ever notice or give a second thought]

Two coats of primer on the first side, let dry for a few hours, flipped and then primed again.

Side one painted and waiting to dry.

Second side painted and now waiting for final clear coat which will happen after a good nights rest and a full day at the office.
