If you paid much attention to the list on the left side of your screen, you might of noticed that it is in a strange order.  Not alphabetically but in the order I have taken things off the truck to work on them.

The first being the running boards followed by work done to the bed of the truck.  And as you can image with someone learning as they go along, the first thing they work on, is where they start to learn.

Running board skirt

The way I started out was to simply remove the running boards and to sand away...  That did not take long, that is to realize that with my current power tools and eagerness to get something done, this would take to long.

For example, a wire wheel on an old drill -- a bit cumbersome.

Also with the running boards, I learned that it is not easier or cheaper to use spray primer from a can but to actually invest in a good gun or two and go ahead and fork out $400 buck for some good epoxy primer.

As of right now, these running boards are still hiding under our guest bed with the wrong primer on them.  I do though have the intentions of blasting them clean at some point and doing it right.

I guess you can just count this part, a learning experience.

Two years latter....

After first going through a learning process a few years back it is now time to strip off the primer that was sprayed on the running boards before putting them away in storage.
