For applying the lettering, I went to the local hobby story and bought the closest yellow I could find to what the plate lettering was originally.

After nailing a few strips of wood to an old piece of plywood, I placed in the plate and with a board across the top, I had a place to rest my hand.  This way, there was less of a chance for me to anciently smudging the fresh paint.

Finally the finished plates...  not to bad if I say so my self.

Now if I can only get them registered without a problem.  I understand that it can be done and is perfectly legal...  I have even seen some cars in a few shows with ones they did themselves.  Then again, if it was this easy to do, why aren't more people doing it.

It looks good and is pretty easy to do.
