Both halves of the hood has now been painted and shot with clear coat. The top side red and the bottom side black. |

Before starting to sand out the clear coat on the bottom side of the hood, I first taped towels to the top side so that when the hood is laying top side down, it is not scratched along the way. | |

Here is the bottom side after sanding and polishing out the clear coat. | |

Now back to the tops side... After removing the towels and tape, the clear coat was sanded out with 1,500 grit and then 2,000 grit paper. | |
