Here is the big goof for the day!

After spending several hours sanding out the filler primer and prepping the grill surround for painting, it was shot with the sealer and then the base coat.  --  Then came the mud slide.

By not figuring in the cold weather along with the humidity, I rushed the job and did not let the sealer set properly.  As a result, the base coat started to slide off.

Now fixing my goof..  After letting everything dry for a day, out came the wet sand paper.

With 220 grit paper, all the base coat was sanded off along with the sealer.

From there, cleaned, prepped and sealed again.  This time to dry for good, then the base coat followed by two clear coats.

Here is the grill surround one more time.

This is after the base paint and clear coat has gone on and sanded ready for polishing out.

After sanding clear coat and before polishing.
