| When the paint first when on, it was a bright red... Not the case after drying... | ||
and to that I am glad. Yea! I did not want a red truck that looked flashy but a truck that matched the colors that were available back 61 years ago. |
The color that was shot was 'Jet Red' from Dupont. Back when this truck was built, Dupont supplied the paints. The red that was available upon special order was a 'Permanent Red.' Which according to Dupont is now their 'Jet Red.' And from comparing a spec sheet with color chips from that year, it is dead on. |

| Now getting ready to paint the
inside. Starting with all the holes in the firewall and behind the dash, the holes were taped and firmly pressed in place. From there to the sharp edges. |
| After taping up the edges, the
entire truck was wrapped and tapped. For this part my beautiful bride helped out and did a wonderful job! |
| Not a single spot of the red showing. | ||

Here is the inside, under the dash being painted
first. With my paint gun being to big to use under the dash, I used a self-mix aerosol can that you put in your own paint. For under the dash, it worked Ok, but I wouldn't use them anywhere else. |
