This is of course after grinding down the welds
followed by a good sanding.
From there things were cleaned up with to remove any loose primer and any oxidation that took place around the welds. After that the entire area was blasted with air and then a good wipe down with painter's prep then some dry time. |

Here is the front side of the fire wall after
priming. With both sides of the toe board, there is a few areas around the welds that are not perfect but with a bit of glazing putty, I am figuring those imperfections will disappear. |
