After locating the proper placement of the outer cowl and secured with self drilling screws, the inner to outer cowl was tapped in place between the inner and the outer cowls...  then screwed in place.

With the use of first vice grips, the panels are located.  After placing the upper cowl on and off a few times and using measurements from the other side of the cab, the outer panel was then screwed into place.

With the outer panel screwed into place, the inner to outer panel was squeezed into place and then screwed down.

With using screws to secure the parts, I could remove them and re-drill if needed.  Also, regardless how many times the parts were pulled off and put back on, they would always be in the exact same spot.

After removing the outer panel first, I could then verify the location of the inner to outer panel along with getting a good idea of where it would need to be welded in...  weld locations.

After removing the inner to outer panel, the outside of the inner panel along with the door jam and hinge locations were shot with DuPont's self etching primer.

Once the primer had a few minutes to dry and the garage air out, the inner to outer panel was then screwed back in place.

With this and a marker, I could mark the weld locations to be sanded back down to metal.

Bare metal now exposed in the area of the welds.

Weld-thru primer now sprayed on.

Note:  Using Weld-Thru II from 3M at $25.00 a can, you don't use much.
